Privacy Policy

Hive Workshops respects your privacy and processes personal data in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

What we collect

  • Details you give us: name, mobile number, email address, organisation and job title when you buy a ticket, join a waitlist, or use a "Notify me" form.
  • Order information: tickets purchased, amounts, payment status and (for manual payments) the proof of payment you upload.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, buttons clicked, device/browser type and referral source, linked to a random visitor ID stored in your browser. We honour your browser's Do-Not-Track setting.

Why we use it

  • To process orders and send tickets, receipts and event reminders.
  • To send updates and announcements about Hive Workshops events — only if you ticked the consent box for SMS and/or email.
  • To understand which events and pages interest people so we can improve the programme.

Your consent and choices

Marketing messages are opt-in. Every email contains an unsubscribe link and every SMS ends with "Reply STOP". Unsubscribing stops marketing messages; we may still send transactional messages about tickets you bought. We keep a record of when and how you gave consent.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the service (payment processing by PayMongo, SMS and email delivery, hosting) and with event organisers or sponsors only when you explicitly agree. We may disclose data when required by law.

Retention and security

We keep order records as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes and delete or anonymise other data when it is no longer needed. Access is limited to authorised staff and protected with passwords, one-time codes and encrypted connections.

Your rights

Under RA 10173 you may ask to access, correct, block or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and complain to the National Privacy Commission. To make a request, use the "Notify me" form on any event page and mention "privacy request", or unsubscribe using the link in any message.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and checkout security, and browser storage for your theme choice and an anonymous visitor ID used for analytics.
